A quiet companion, at every stageof writing.

From the first draft to the final revision. None of these features replace your writing — they help you see further.

In short: Frame is a local-first desktop app for novelists. Its AI co-writer suggests your next sentence in your own voice, its copy-editor flags setting contradictions and prose issues across chapters, and its Reader Lab lets 18 virtual readers react to your draft before you publish. Free to start; Standard is US$11.99/month. macOS and Windows.

Ch.01

Co-writer

An AI that knows your voice

The AI in Frame reads your entire manuscript — the voice of your previous chapters, how your characters speak, the tension of the current scene. The next sentence should read as if you wrote it.

  • Context windowFull manuscript summary + last three chapters
  • Ghost suggestionTab to accept, ignore to dismiss
  • Conversational modeRewrite, variants, brainstorm
  • Style profileThe AI learns from samples of your writing
She stood by the window. The wind slowly pushed the curtain up.

Ch.02

Copy-editor

An editor who reads with you

Grammar and spelling are basics. Frame's linter looks for Show vs. Tell, repetition, point-of-view drift — the things a professional editor would see first.

  • Show, Don't TellEmotion-as-description detection
  • RepetitionParagraph-level highlights
  • POV driftFirst/third-person consistency
  • RhythmSentence-length heatmap (coming soon)

She opened the door very happily. The room was truly beautiful. Yeon-hui was surprised very again.

Tell → Show: Replace "very happily" with a behavior. e.g., "she caught her breath and turned the knob."
Repetition: "very" used twice within three sentences.

Local-first & private

Your manuscript on your disk

Every manuscript is saved as a single local file on your disk. Delete your account, let the company disappear, lose your internet — your writing remains yours. When you use an AI feature, only the needed text is sent for processing, then deleted right after — never used to train AI models.

Focus mode

A writing space without distraction

The UI disappears; only the current sentence remains. Choose typing sounds from mechanical keyboards to fountain pens. The dark mode is easy on the eyes in low light.

  • Focus modeOnly the current sentence in full contrast
  • Dark modeAn easy-on-the-eyes dark palette

  • Writing statsDaily goals, time, session length
The winter was unusually long that year.
Yeon-hui couldn't look away from the window.
I wanted to call her name.
But the winter air sealed my lips.
So we stood in silence.
