1. Data we collect
- Account information: email, display name, Google ID (via OAuth)
- Billing information: a Lemon Squeezy subscriber identifier (card data is never stored by Frame)
- Usage logs: sign-in time, feature usage time, AI request counts
2. Handling your manuscript
Your manuscripts are stored on your computer by default. Manuscripts are transmitted to our servers only in the following cases:
- When using an AI feature, for processing — the relevant paragraphs or chapters are sent temporarily.
- If you explicitly enable cloud sync in the future — this feature is on the roadmap and not yet available.
Text sent to the AI is deleted immediately after the response is generated, and is never used for training.
3. Retention
- Account info: until account deletion; fully purged within 30 days after deletion
- Billing records: 5 years, as required by e-commerce law
- Usage logs: 90 days
4. Third-party sharing
Frame does not sell or share your personal information with third parties. AI processing through external services (e.g. Google Gemini) qualifies as a "processing delegation"; the processor is contractually prohibited from using your data for training.
5. Website analytics & cookies
Our website (not the desktop app) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate visitor and page-view statistics. GA4 sets third-party cookies and collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, and device type — it never receives your manuscripts or any personally identifying writing.

- Self-collected download counts: when you download the app, we record the platform, version, approximate country (derived from your network, not precise location), and the referring source — never your raw IP address, personal data, or manuscripts
- First-party usage analytics (signed-in users only): we collect anonymous usage patterns — pages visited, time on page, language, referring source, and an anonymous session ID — to improve the service. Manuscript text is never included
We honor the "Do Not Track" browser setting: when it is on, no analytics — including Google Analytics and the first-party usage analytics above — are loaded or sent. We never collect or store manuscript text or other personal content through website analytics.
6. Your rights
You may at any time exercise the following rights:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction of inaccuracies
- Request pause or deletion of processing
- Withdraw consent
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted via TLS. Authentication tokens are stored in local storage only. Payment data is processed by Lemon Squeezy (PCI-DSS compliant) and is never stored in our systems.
